this costly necessity of

Wildlife Habitat
Improvements-
There are many
different programs out
there that provide
money to make your
property a wildlife
paradise!
What is cost-share?
There are several government cost-sharing programs to
assist landowners with the costs associated with projects that
involve such things as tree planting, wildlife habitat
improvements and even preserving farmland.
How can my property qualify for
cost-share assistance?
In order to qualify for some cost-share assistance programs,
the property MUST have a management plan in place.  That is
where we come in.  We can evaluate your property and help
you come up with the best working plan possible to help you
reach your goals.
What are the types of cost-share assistance that are
available?
There are many types of cost-sharing programs to assist landowners...a few are:

The
Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) helps with the cost of habitat improvement projects in
wetlands and pays up to 100% of the current value of the property for a permanent easement AND
pays for the cost of most habitat improvement projects. Does not get much better than that!

The
Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP) is a habitat program that pays up to 75% of
the cost of a habitat improvement.

The
Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) assists with structural and
management costs on eligible agricultural lands.
Attention: Cost sharing programs through the Farm Bill have changed. Please verify program
benefits and guidelines with your local NRCS office.
